A student invented a new type of solar cell technology based on crop waste, which can absorb and convert ultraviolet rays so that solar panels can generate electricity on cloudy days. Maige, a student from the Department of Electrical Engineering of Mapua University in the Philippines, developed new technology by crushing and filtering vegetable and fruit waste to extract bioluminescent particles that can convert ultraviolet light. This material can be attached to the original structure or the surface of the object, absorb ultraviolet light and convert it into visible light, thereby generating electricity.
